Description
Another glimpse of the past at Deja Vu Antique Mall in Orcutt, California. These vintage metal number labels were dangling down from a cupboard knob on the outside covered porch. They may have been used as tags for livestock originally, but I think the eighteen here would be great for an eighteenth birthday.

I apologize if this is a duplicate! Great find and capture! These are typically hung around the necks of livestock. Since they are hanging from twine, I suspect the twine was only to hang them up. We used light weight chains on our cattle so they would not get broken & lost.
Caitlyn Grasso replied:
Hi Guy, Thanks for letting me know! It makes perfect sense since we still have cattle ranches around here--fewer with the droughts and growth in vineyards, but still some!
