Description
Naked ladies is the old-fashioned name for this lovely belladonna Amaryllis. The bulbs send out leaves in spring, but by late summer/early autumn when the flowers appear, the leaves have already died down. Hence the name - naked ladies!
This was taken near dusk on a roadside in Orcutt, California.
