Artist's Description
Here is a photograph of an original sculpture in barbed wire and wood. Artist unknown.
All right, I suppose most would say it is just a bit of decaying old fence. I have to disagree. It may have started out that way, but it is now just a few splintering posts standing alone in the field--it no longer serves as a fence. Yet, the crosspiece is much newer than the posts. Newer wire winds amongst the rusty. It seems almost a memorial to the fence that once was--as if someone could not bear to see it all fall down. To me it is a mystery--and a sculpture.
