The chameleon plant or Houttuynia cordata has beautiful leaves and is edible (though I have never tasted it). In fact, some people call it "hot tuna"! The leaves die down in the winter and the plant seems to disappear, but come spring it will reemerge stronger than before! This one resides in a pot because it is extremely invasive.

Because this is a scan of a color film negative, there is some film grain.
